Great free e-book provided free by Articulate. Articulate is a great add-on program to PowerPoint that turns your presentation into a flash movie. It's the tool we are primarily using to author our web-based self-study programs now at my current instructional design job at ASHA. We're still using Captivate, some video compression software called Sorenson Squeeze and Flash to create small chunks that will be incorporated into the overall program though.

Epocrates is an educational vehicle featured on handheld devices. With an opt-in user base of over 500,000 clinicians - including more than 200,000 physicians - they have a guaranteed CME activity completion rate of 600. Washington, D.C.-based ACC is shifting its continuing medical education to be accessible from PDAs. “Physicians cannot be tethered to a workstation,” says Brad Ettinger, ACC's senior director of e-business and digital products. Among ACC's membership, more than 80 percent of the younger physicians are using mobile devices.
